Galactic Map

The galactic map is your tool for navigating the universe. Through it you can see discovered systems, plan routes and start warp jumps.

The View

The map shows:

  • Discovered systems: shown as glowing nodes
  • Unknown systems: marked with ”?” until explored
  • Connections: warp routes available between systems
  • Your position: highlighted on the map
  • Discoverers: who found each system first

Selecting a System

When you select a system on the map, you see:

  • The system’s name (or “Unknown”)
  • Estimated danger level
  • Known resources (if already scanned)
  • Energy cost to warp
  • Who discovered it

Warp System

To travel between systems, you use the warp drive:

  1. Open the map (MAP button or M key)
  2. Select the destination system
  3. Check that you have enough energy
  4. Confirm the warp

Warping consumes energy based on distance. Farther systems cost more energy.

Routes and Connections

Not every system is directly connected. Some trips require passing through intermediate systems. The map shows every available route.

Discoveries

When you’re the first to reach a system, your name is recorded as its discoverer. Every other player will see your discovery on the map.
